Gravel Root (Eupatorium purpurea)
A native of North America, Gravel Root is a perennial plant that grows up to 1.5m. It has whorls of pointed leaves and clusters of white flowers. The parts used for medicinal purposes are the rhizome and root. Gravel Root is diurectic, anti-rheumatic and a tonic.
Its name comes from its use for the treatment of 'gravel' stones in the bladder and other kidney and urinary disorders.
